SWPP - Fashion & Glamour 2008 Convention Images - No Restriction Now
Wow what a convention, it was the best and thanks to all the photographers that attended my Extra Plus Master classes. I was sorry we had to disappoints so many of you but we were restricted to 10 per class as they were hands on in the studio with me, but I tried to make up for it at my Shooting Fashion & Glamour open seminar.
Even though over 200 of you, of the 250+ that attended that night have had downloads from us, I have decided to make the images now open so every one can see what we shot in such a short space of time.
Sorry for picking on the tall guy in the front row with the baldhead all the time, but every time he bent forward to write notes, it was like having another reflector at hand.
So What Did We Do?
The whole point of the demonstration was to show much variety could be achieved in a limited location with a massive audience and in a limited time frame.
With only 2 minutes before start time I got electricity to were I needed it so all the photographers got to see the set up as we went along.
I only met Katie, the model a few minutes before getting going so it really was a Live Seminar.
Thanks to the SWPP team for running around for me after the sudden room move due to numbers, they worked their arses off to get running and me up. My seminar was sponsored again by Loxley Colour so many thanks to Ian and his team for putting up the cash as well as to Hardy at Flaghead Photographic for supply me with a ring flash adapter at the last minute and to Bowens for supplying all the studio flash equipment.
Equipment Used
Lastolite Hilite Background
RingFlash Adapter
Bowens Ring Flash Lighting & Accessories

The Pink Cast to these images has been applied during the RAW processing with a preset cast we apply to some of our Fashion & Glamour Images

All images were shot in RAW, 100iso and colour balance was set to flash

In case you are wondering why in most of these larger Hi key images using the Lastolite HiLite background I have a muddy background is that we had the light in side the Hilite switched off from time to time to show the effect of the ring flash shadow.

All the images were shot on a Canon 5D with a 24-105 lens, with Motor drive pack.
I was using a Canon 580EX speedlite powered by a Quantum 2×2 battery when I was using the Ring Flash adapter.![]()
