In 2020 we are running a series of Fine Art Portrait workshops in our studios in Barry, near Cardiff.
Each of the workshop days concentrates on the art of Lighting, Posing and propping the portrait to create equisit portraits.
The day includes full instruction and demostrations as well as time to shoot and create beautiful images yourself using our models, sets and lighting.
Also included, at the end of the day, is the post process, showing you how to finish the images in RAW and how to create truly beautiful fine art portraits in photoshop.
included is a light lunch and refreshments during the day as well as special Photoshop actions and ACR RAW presets along with a step by step manual for lighting the portraits.

1 & 2-day Fine Art Portrait Workshop.
The workshops concentrates on the art of Lighting, Posing and propping the portrait to create exquisite portraits.
The 2-day workshop includes full instruction and demonstration as well as time to shoot and create beautiful images yourself using our models, sets and lighting. Also included, is a demonstration of the post process, showing you how to finish the images in RAW and how to create truly beautiful fine art portraits in Photoshop.
Each day features multiple models/subjects in a variety of studio sets with time for you to shoot in each setup under instruction as well as 1-2-1 time
This fine art workshops are limited to 9 photographers and will give you the extra creative development time.
2 day workshops are £595 inc.VAT
1 day workshop is £250 inc. VAT
WHEN BOOKING A WORKSHOP YOU PAY £195 BOOKING FEE AND THEN THE REMAINDER 4 WEEKS BEFORE THE DATE OF THE WORKSHOP.
Workshop days starts at 10am and finishes at 5pm
You will be shown how to create and recreate multiple lighting setups to create fine art portrait styles as well as lighting for a simple 1 light fine art fashion .
In our custom converted church studio you will be using the very latest Elinchrom lighting and accessories to change the look and feel to the portrait styles.
Each model will have a variety of styled clothing to suit the scene and set to ensure a perfect portrait experience.
Mark always shoots tethered so you can see instantly, on the big screen, the straight out of camera image.
You are provided with a lighting recipe manual to use during the workshop to take notes and record the settings, perfect for you to take away to allow you to mimic the setups.
Models will range in age to create a variety of styled portraits.

What to bring
Favourite lenses - (Mark uses mainly prime lenses 50mm & 85mm as well as a 24-105 & 70-200 zooms)
Plenty of memory cards to shoot to.
